Feline Comfort Suite

The Feline Comfort Suite that Shor-Line unveiled in February 2018 revolutionized feline housing. No longer are customers forced to sacrifice durability for a clean, soft-looking living area.

Our product development team tested dozens of materials before selecting the extruded PVC chosen to build the Feline Comfort Suite. It is a revolutionary material that creates a strong but lightweight internal board structure while keeping the outside hard and strong but yet silky smooth to feline feet.

We knew maintaining a sanitary living area was critical, so we tested the product on the common cleaners used. It worked extremely well. The new cat condos are strong and virtually impervious to moisture…we know because we soaked it in water for days! It even stands up to urine.

When designing the interior, we took input from customers and worked with top feline veterinarians. The research has shown felines stay healthier when they have more space, including a separate area for eliminating.

We settled on an 18”W x 30”H litter area attached to a 24”W or 30”W x 30”H condo. We eliminated the top shelf in the litter area so even the largest cats can posture correctly during elimination, which reduces boarding stress. The standard litter combines large rods at top for ventilation and a polycarbonate clear area at the bottom with a clip for records.

The door designs have the cat’s comfort in mind. There are four door options available”

• The Tri-Panel Door has a wide polycarbonate band so the cat has an unobstructed view when seated on the Kat Kave. The Stainless Steel rods provide ventilation on top and bottom.
• The Tri-Panel Door with optional Viewing Dome has the same features as the Tri-Panel Door except it includes the addition of a 7¼”-diameter circular dome. You can place it on the left or right side of the polycarbonate panel. It provides great feline enrichment!
•  The clear, Polycarbonate Door has a triangular-shaped pattern of large ventilation holes. The large holes are designed for easy cleaning, and the open area in the middle allows the feline to see out and the caretaker to easily see in.
• The Full Grill Door option features a Stainless Steel door with tight spacing around the latch to protect curious paws. It allows good ventilation into the unit.

The unit is filled with premium features:

• Quiet-closing latch with durable polyethylene that provides a near-silent close.
• An injection-molded, fiberglass-reinforced nylon thermoplastic polymer hinge, which means the hinge is created using the latest technology for lightweight strength.
• T-shaped black rubber liquid retention strip that runs along the front of the litter to contain litter and liquids.
• On units with an attached litter, the pass-through cover slides out from outside the cage. The rake at the end clears the area of any litter or debris the cat might have kicked in. You can open or close the pass through from the outside, reducing feline stress.

• • Door or drawer storage provides a convenient place for litter, towels or enrichment items. Place the storage below the units to raise the cats housing off the ground or place in the middle of the units.
  • Ventilation options help keep good air flow throughout the units. Our special active ventilation system attaches at the top to your fan system. Its sleek design maximizes living space for felines while circulating the air. The passive system pulls air through based on hot air rising and seeking its highest space. This allows the air to pull out of the unit and be replaced with cooler air.

Assembly Options

These units are sold individually or as part of a cage assembly package. We offer many of our most popular cage assemblies standard or you can custom order. These assemblies include both main unit + litter assemblies and condo (just main unit) assemblies.

When choosing an assembly, consider where you want the pass throughs to go. Many organizations like having a pass through option on every opening. That maximizes your flexibility. Although the ideal space (according to feline experts) is a 30″W main unit plus an 18″W litter, some organization choose condo only areas of 24″W with pass throughs.
